Film Verdict

Social fantasy movies are not new for telugu audience from senior NTR time period to Bahubali, we have seen many social-fantasy movies but what makes Bimbisaar look new is the time travel concept as it is time travel from past to present Not like and from present to future, this story moves in parallel worlds which have no relation to the two timelines but the way the director has connected it is fantastic which you need to experience in theatres.

Well the movie starts off nicely with a solid action block and it marks the introduction of Bimbisara, the latter takes about 30 minutes to show Bimbisara’s brutality, however, the first part of the film is played by Kalyan Ram. As Bimbisaar and some action blocks and ends with an interval bang and later the half shifts to Hyderabad, where the beginning falls flat, but once an existing timeline man finds Bimbisar’s soul From there till the climax, hooked the audience.

Bimbisaar doesn’t have a unique story, but the premise and the negative shades of the protagonist make you want to watch the whole movie, however, it has flaws as the love story didn’t land well and some songs were forcibly placed in the script, and some logic were missing, however the film engages with a good performance by Kalyan Ram and a few twists. Kalyan Ram shines in the two characters as he shows subtlety in his acting, his transformation to character should be appreciated and he is very into dialogue delivery. Achhe Hain Bimbisaar has a stellar cast but the character of Vishwanandan Varma (Prakash Raj) stands out.

Congrats to director Vashishth for bringing this complex story to the screen as he managed to engage the audience, however, he could have focused more on writing a child character, although this is the soul of the film. Technically Bimbisara looks gorgeous. Chota K Naidu’s visuals are partly good, most of the scenes were over-saturated and graded with heavy color tones and MM Keeravani’s songs were not up to the mark, but they The background score showed its experience and so did the rest of the departments. His best. Lastly, Bimbisaar is a decent socio-fantasy film that can be watched by all sections of the audience.
